How to get the FSC Code of BMW F22 NBT Navigation Map?

If you want to upgrade your BMW navigation map system, the FSC codes are needed. There are two ways to get the FSC codes for BMW F Series F22.

What do you need to prepare for FSC Code？

1. With different BMW head units, then they use different map versions, such as Next, Move, etc. Here is a sample for NorthAmerican Next maps.

2. You need to prepare at least a 32GB Flash Drive.

3. FSC Code

Here will show you two ways to get the FSC code.

• Using the Calculator software to get BMW CIC NBT navigation map FSC Code

BMW Navigation Map Update Calculator for NBT&CIC head unit allows reading FSC code for BMW NBT&CIC system. You need an additional USB dongle to use this software.

• Using OBD II Enet Cable via Esys software

OBD II Enet Cable and Esys software are designed for BMW F/G/I series coding and programming, and it is capable of generating FSC as well. Please follow the below steps:

• Connect the Enet cable to the car.
• Go to “FSC extended”
• Enter “Diagnostic Address 0x63 Click “Identify”
• The Base variant should show”HU NBT
• Enter “Application ID 0xDE (for NBT)”
• Enter “Upgrade Index 0x1”
• Move Store FSC from the left to the right ->
• Click“Read”
• Click “Save” and store the file as “DE.fsc”
• The software will display a command prompt window and execute as follows “nbt.exe DE.fsc 0xA8 0x06 <7DIGITVIN>”
• Then E-sys will generate your FSC Activation Code for the upgrade

NOTE:
Please keep in mind that this FSC Activation Code is only fit for the Region/Year set of Navigation updates.
You will need a new one every time you perform a new upgrade.

4. Run output file from previous steps without any changes on NBT.exe(i.e. nbt.exe DE.fsc 0xA8 0x06<7DIGITVIN>)

• Downloaded the 2015-2 software via the internet
• NorthAmerica-NEXT-2015.02 Navi
• download2039.mediafire.com/hdlm72s52ewg/cq57x79cb1s9x6u/North_America_Next_2015-2.torrent
• Copied new map to 32GB thumb drive
• Insert the thumb drive in car usB while the car is powered on
• Software load begins automatically
• Enter new NBTgenerated code using iDrive input (be sure to hit OK when done input
• The software took about 40 minutes to load
