Korean BMW ISTA+ 4.42.20 Installation and Registration 07.2023
BMW Rheingold ISTA+ and ISTA-P are special diagnostic and diagnostic software for BMW vehicles. It includes diagnostic, programming, wiring diagrams, and repair manual.

BMW Rheingold ISTA+ Features:

ISTA Standalone
- Reject fake FSCs can be disabled in ISTAGUI.exe.config, default is active.
- resolution can be changed in the ISTAGUI.exe.config
- disable CheckSystemRequirements is now possible in ISTAGUI.exe.config
- enable programming with ENET is now possible in ISTAGUI.exe.config (at your own risk.)
- enable Diagnose for J29 (Toyota Supra) is now possible in ISTAGUI.exe.config.
- “Unknown terminal voltage!” message with ENET is fixed, now ISTA checks real Voltage, but does not display it.
- don’t ask me to remove the “Battery voltage (terminal 30) below threshold value…” message, this is an important message!!!
- read FASTA Data from Vehicle is disabled in ISTAGUI.exe.config
- if you use my Regfiles, open it with Notepad and change the InstallLocation to the right location on her PC. (not needed with Installer)
– For Diagnose only, neccessary SQLiteDBs GLOBAL(required), en-GB(required), de-DE(optional) and BLP(required) in the same patch Version as App.
– For programming is SDP needed, using older or newer versions that allowed
ISTA+ (AKA Rheingold or ISTA-D)

Notice! BMW Rheingold ISTA+ 4.41.x Update:(some online function updated,but it can not work on offline version)
For ISTA version 4.41 125 feedback messages have been processed by making changes to diagnostic programs or documents. In total, the following changes have been made:
- 39 Changes and corrections to diagnostic programs for 48 messages
- 16 Change and correction to wiring diagrams, installation locations, connector views, and pin assignments with 17 message
- 45 Changes and corrections in the scope of repair instructions with 51 messages
- 8 Corrections in foreign-language texts for 8 messages
- 1 Correction to complete the system in the case of 1 message
Caution! The diagnostic session with the vehicle identification
- If a vehicle to be diagnosed supports PAD mode, the vehicle must be manually switched to PAD mode before the start of the diagnostic session!
- If this instruction is not observed, communication errors may occur on the MPAD control unit on vehicles with the Medium Platform Automatic Driving (MPAD) control unit!
- Guidance on renewing an ECU with individual data
- If the instruction indicates that a control unit is to be replaced, a message will be issued if necessary The instruction, before removal of the control unit, reminds users of the implementation of a guided renewal for the purpose of saving individual data
Electric range G26 BEV and G28 BEV
- For technical reasons, it is impossible for G26 BEV and G28 BEV to read out the average power consumption by diagnosis.
- Accordingly, the test module “Electric range” at Vehicle Management > Troubleshooting > Function Structure > Drive System > Electric Drive has been removed for both these model series.
- EoS test, the electric drive unit 5th generation
- The service function to perform the EoS test for the electric drive unit has been revised comprehensively. The following optimization measures have been implemented:
-New, specific functional descriptions and help documents for 220LR, 220MF, 220XLR, 170MR, and 170MF.
-Change to the test steps: The leakage test is now performed before the electrical tests
-If a test step is not passed: Fault elimination measures are displayed and the test steps can be repeated - The EoS test can be called with the service functions under the “Electrical machine electronics” node.
- The measuring technology application IMIB MA, the tester IMIB HV, and IMIB Next or IMIB R2 is required to run the service function.
- The EoS test ensures that the electric drive unit can be placed into operation again after a repair and there is no source of danger.
EoS test, high-voltage battery unit, 3rd and 4th generation
- A new service function for the EoS test for the high-voltage battery unit of I01, I12, I15, and F56 BEV as well as for all PHEV vehicles of generation 3 and generation 4 is now available. This means that the EoS test for the high-voltage battery unit in the vehicles mentioned above can be carried out for the first time ISTA.
- The EoS test can be called with the service functions under the “High-voltage battery unit” node.
- The measuring technology application is required for the service function IMIB MA and the tester IMIB HV.
- The EoS test ensures that the high-voltage battery unit can be operated again after a repair measure and that there is no danger.
- The devices from TKR for the EoS test can still be used as independent testers (no connection to ISTA).
